Introducing Picena!

A couple of months ago we decided to make some very important future strategic business changes at MM. We are planning to retire a number of styles that have been available for many seasons. We will replace them with new styles and leathers that I am sure you will love.

The main change is in regards MM’s pricing policy. In these complex and uncertain times we need to try to protect our very small mark-up and, to do that, we should copy strategy used by quite all our competitors: we should rise prices of all our bags, even a lot until possible.

I personally decided to do exactly the opposite and I started working on a new style that would have allowed us to offer a much lower price than usual.

Most customers after all these years know my philosophy has in fact always been far from rules imposed by globalization. I have always put loyalty and honesty ahead of profit and considered our bespoke service as team work shared between myself, my team and all of you our customers. I have decided to avoid any price increase and offer the quality of our handmade bags to a wider customer base. To achieve this objective we are introducing a new line of MM bags with a much lower "base price" than our current bespoke handbags.

I am excited to introduce PICENA, the first new MM style with an "entry price" under € 300,00! The official Picena price will be € 299,00.

Starting today through April 11th all our newsletter subscribers will be able to order their Picena at just € 280,00!!!

Additionally a smaller version of Picena, named Little Picena can be ordered for € 260,00 (regular price will be € 279,00!!!)

Lead time is just approximately 3 - 4 weeks.

Picena is a stunning tote style bag, unlined, extremely light and comfortable. It comes with 2 adjustable straps, 3 interior pockets and a top zipper closure! We will offer our normal customization options such as a full lining, feet, etc. at an additional fee. Customers are free to personalize Picena in lots of different ways.

I am also excited that Picena will be first (and for now the only) MM style that can be ordered in a gorgeous new calf leather named DOUBLE. Because Picena is an unlined tote style bag I worked with our tannery to develop a leather that was beautiful on both the front and back. They created a stunning product that was produced by "melting" together 2 skins of the same leather and color which results in two front sides. A solution that is absolute perfection in an unlined bag. It is similar to our Pebbled leather but it has a completely different surface. Double leather has an extremely soft surface keeping a beautiful consistency. I am positive that many of you will go crazy when you'll feel this new leather surface!!!

As you see MM has refused to surrender despite the big players who are hoping that small companies like MM, who produce bags the traditional way one bag handmade at a time, disappear/go out of business. With your support we will show them that there is still a place for businesses like MM who still have dreams and put our hearts ahead of anything else!
