Many of you fell in love with it before knowing what it was, by just looking at an image of a Lucca Midi on our Blog. We are now ready to officially introduce SPIDER, a stunning new leather that will be part of our in stock leathers!
Spider is a soft calf leather with an average thickness of 1.2 mm. Spider leather is the perfect thickness: it is neither too thick nor thin. The result is that it can be used in the production of any MM handbag.
This leather is tanned with oils and waxes which gives it a velvety feel and a vintage and rustic look. Its natural surface shows the beautiful color variations. Spider leather shows both wrinkled areas combined with flatter/smoother areas. During the order process it is possible to request a more uniform smooth look or alternatively a more natural leather look for your bag in Spider leather. It is a vegetable tanned leather, consequently this natural type of leather has minimal surface protection in comparison to leathers that have a protective coating. The surface signs of wear are easily restored to a more uniform look by simply rubbing any marks with a clean cloth. This is one of the Spider leathers main features: the more it is used the more beautiful it becomes! The leather patina will increase with use of your beautiful natural vegetable tanned Spider leather MM handbag.
Spider is available in 9 beautiful colors (black isn't shown on the Spider color chart but is already available at the MM workshop along with all the other Spider colors).
